New Zealand based singer/songwriter HERA caught our attention with her beautiful face tattoo, and kept it with her captivating voice and original music.

Our second question (immediately following “Where can we buy her music”) was “So, is the face tattoo real?” We asked Hera on twitter and she replied:

herasings yes its real.. But not permanent ;-) I paint it on when I perform, inspired by the moko and celtic war paint, iceland/nz xo

So, no, it’s not permanent, but it’s beautiful, original and extremely well done, so we’re impressed.
