greensboro four civil rights tattoo NC Shop Offers Free Civil Rights Tattoos

On February 1, 1960 four black students sat at the whites only lunch counter at the Woolworth’s store in Greensboro, NC and within days 300 students arrived to participate in a civil rights protest. Today the site is the location of the new International Civil Rights Museum, which honors the Greensboro Four. In honor of this event Golden Spiral Tattoo Shop offered free tattoos for a day featuring the Greensboro Four sitting around a coffee mug. These tattoos serve as a permanent reminder of an important event in the civil rights movement. Source
